This inventory of locations and activities is based on the contents of the SFWMD DBHYDRO corporate environmental database. Activity types include flow, rainfall, stage (water level), weather, well, or water quality. The water quality activities are further sub-divided into categories of convenience. This data set is derived from the database view in the DBHYDRO database dmdbase.all_stations_activity_kml_vw. This DBHYDRO view consolidates the information from 16 underlying relational database tables, some of which are recreated nightly to summarize information for ready-retrieval. The business rules of 1) what parameters constitute what activity types, 2) what parameters constitute what activity sub-types, and 3) what determines active and inactive status are thus maintained at the origin of the data.

The environmental monitoring application is designed to allow customers to find where and what we monitor and to provide access to time series data archived for those locations.
